Dr. Suneth De Silva is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with focused expertise in hip and knee surgery, fracture and trauma care, and limb reconstruction.

He completed his MBBS at the University of Colombo and his MD in Orthopaedic Surgery through the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo. His qualifications also include MRCSEd from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the MRC Oxford Diploma Course in Hip Surgery and Diploma Course in Foot & Ankle Surgery, achieving Distinction in the final assessments of both programmes.

He completed 24 months of specialist trauma and orthopaedic training in the United Kingdom through the International Surgical Training Programme of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This included dedicated subspecialty training in hip and knee surgery at King’s Mill Hospital, Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

His fellowship experience encompassed hip and knee reconstruction, joint replacement surgery, and soft-tissue knee surgery, providing a strong foundation in the assessment and management of a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.

His approach combines specialist expertise, evidence-based practice and careful clinical decision-making, with an emphasis on understanding each patient’s needs and providing clear guidance throughout treatment and recovery.
